Welcome to our first new member, Elaine Weide. Looking at the database I see we have several Van Der Weide's in the family...

Volkert Willems Van Der Weide married Aaltje Koerts.

They had the following children:

Male - Jan Volkerts van der Weide was born 9 Oct 1785 and died 13 Mar 1843.

Jan Volkerts van der Weide married Grietje Everts Smit who was born 9 Oct 1785 in Hoogeveen, NL. She died 28 Sep 1853 in Schut (Hoogeveen).

They had the following children:

Female - Gerhardina Van Der Weide was born 26 Dec 1813 and died 5 Nov 1888. Gerhardina married Reinoud Reinders on 6 Jun 1835 in Hoogeveen, NL. Reinoud is one of our ancestors...

Which I know at first glance probably doesn't mean much, but it is interesting none the less and who knows...
