Charles David MURRAY

BIRTH: Additional evideence to confirm his birth and name is provided in the 1901 Census of Canada.

DEATH: He and his family were living in Maine in the early 1900's, exact date unknown. He and his son Albie were killed in a car accident on June 22, _____. Would love to find his place of burial in Maine?

BIOGRAPHY: MURRAY / MURPHY. Charles David Murray was born in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia on Nov 17, 1876, parents Walter Murray and Deborah Embree. David married Amelia J. Murphy, born Feb 17, 1885 in Chatam, New Brunswick. They were married Oct 7, 1907. David moved to Old Town in 1923, with the family following in 1924. David worked for a local paper mill...The 1930 census, and an Old Town Directory 1931 (page 719) show them as living at 349 S. Main Street, Old Town. Some time after 1932 they moved to a farm in Alton. David and son Albin were killed in a car accident on June 21 _____? The son was driving his father to work at the paper mill in Old Town from their country home some distance from town, when the accident occurred (Cape Breton newspaper article June 22, saved by family member). The article also mentions they were killed the day before. Amelia is buried at St.Joseph's in Old Town, TB reads Amelia Murphy 57 14 Jul 1943 v/o David Murray. Members of the family have been trying for years to find the year of David's and Albin's death and where their graves are located.
