John MCHARRIE

BIOGRAPHY: According to the 1901 Census the McHarrie's immigrated to Canada in 1881.

DEATH: THe registration of death shows that John passed away in the house of his daughter Elizabeth and his son-in-law John Browne, 20 Willow Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Cause of death was paralysis.


Marriage Notes for John McHarrie and Margaret ADAMS-748

John McHarrie was born 3 Jul 1835. Margaret Adams was born 13 Feb 1833. Both of Scotland married 03 Jun 1858 at Old Luce, Wigtownshire, Scotland. According to the 1901 Canadian census John & Margaret settled in Scotch Village, Hants County and he became a farmer. The Old Parish Records indicate that Elizabeth had at least 3 sisters and 1 brother, who were also born in Scotland.


Joseph HAND

BIOGRAPHY: Joseph Hand was only 32 years of age when he died in December of 1869. Joseph was apparently a Station Master.
